IVF with Donor Embryos

IVF using donor embryos, rather than donor eggs, is an alternative form of fertility treatment, although it must be noted that it is very seldom couples donate their embryos, although it does happen.

With good success rates and low costs, donor-embryo IVF is an option to consider if you and your partner cannot conceive at all using either partner’s gametes.

Some Clinics have a good supply of embryos from couples who have undergone IVF in the past. Couples may opt to donate their leftover embryos to other couples. They’re not asked to explain their reasons for doing so. But it’s likely most donor embryos are from those who decide they have no use for them in the future.
