IVF with Frozen Embryos

A frozen embryo transfer, or FET, is the same procedure as conventional  IVF treatment where a cryo-preserved (frozen) embryo created in a full IVF cycle, is thawed and transferred to a woman’s uterus.

The cryo-preserved embryo may be from a woman’s previous IVF cycle, or it may be a donor embryo. If a donor embryo is being used, it is important to note that  the embryo will not be genetically related to the woman or her partner.
